Executive Director

MARK ARMSTRONG (Executive Director) oversees The 24 Hour Plays on Broadway, The 24 Hour Musicals and time-limited theater events around the world. Highlights from his tenure include Broadway and Los Angeles debuts of The 24 Hour Musicals, new productions of The 24 Hour Plays and Musicals in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Dublin, Finland, Germany, Mexico and Denmark and the growth of The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals, a free professional intensive for theatermakers 25 and under that culminates in their own production of The 24 Hour Plays in an off-Broadway theater.

As a director, credits include Christopher Shinn’s Falling Away and Dan O’Brien’s From Kandahar to Canada (both EST), Christopher Shinn’s The Coming World and Lucas Hnath’s Odile’s Ordeal (both Williamstown), Max Posner’s Old Folks and 30 Million, a new musical by Max Vernon and Jason Kim (both Keen Company) and projects with Naked Angels, Primary Stages, Keen Company, New Dramatists, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Hartford Stage, Lincoln Center Theater, TheatreSquared, Dorset Theater Festival and more, including new plays by Stephen Adly Guirgis, Jonathan Marc Sherman, Qui Nguyen, Beth Henley, Jason Grote, Laura Jacqmin, Gabe McKinley, Sarah Schulman, Leah Nanako Winkler, Charly Evon Simpson, Lucy Teitler, Matt Schatz, Ken Greller, Kate Moira Ryan, Boo Killebrew, Trista Baldwin, Ken Weitzman and many others.

As the Director of New Work for off-Broadway’s Keen Company, he created the Keen Playwrights Lab for mid-career playwrights and led Keen Teens, producing new plays with high school actors from across New York City. As Artistic Director of The Production Company, he produced and directed premiere productions of Dan O’Brien’s The Angel in the Trees, Blair Singer’s Meg's New Friend and The Most Damaging Wound, Stephen Belber's Melbourne, Liz Meriwether's The Sound in the Throat, Beau Willimon's I Am Ned Kelly, Ben Ellis' Falling Petals (US Premiere) and others.

As the Literary Director for Playscripts, Inc, he compiled and edited the play collections 24x24: The 24 Hour Plays Anthology and Naked Angels Issues Projects: Collected Plays. His writing has appeared in American Theatre, HowlRound and the Brooklyn Rail. Proud member SDC and Ensemble Studio Theatre. Instructor, The New School for Drama.

Madelyn Paquette

Madelyn Paquette is a creative producer and a proud alum of The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals. She is the Director of Business Operations at THML Theatre Company, co-producer of the Fratti-Newman Political Play Festival at the Castillo Theatre, and the co-host of Talk This: It's Dangerous to Podcast Alone.

Tina Fallon*

President

Tina Fallon is the Executive Director of Creative Affairs for the Dramatists Guild and the founding producer of The 24 Hour Plays. Since 1995, she and The 24 Hour Company have produced The 24 Hour Plays and The 24 Hour Musicals, often as charity benefits, in many venues. The 24 Hour Plays on Broadway is now in its sixteenth year. Fallon has been a presenter at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival and The Association for Theatre in Higher Education, a judge for the KCACTF Irene Ryan Awards, and a teaching artist at the EDTA conference.

Lindsay W. Bowen*

Lindsay Bowen is the vice president of podcasts and entertainment content partnerships at Pandora and the co-founder of The 24 Hour Company.

Karen Kayser Benson

Board Member

Karen Kayser Benson spent most of her professional life in New York City — on one end of the phone or the other — as a casting director or a talent agent. KK (as she is known in the industry) treasures her time as an agent with the Fifi Oscard Agency and as a casting director with Steve and Linda Horn, which is the most prolific and honored commercial production company in the country.

Lindsey Cashman is a longtime supporter of The 24 Hour Plays, whose work background includes Creative Management Company, The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center and Scorsese Productions.

Jenna Chrisphonte

Board Member

Jenna Chrisphonte serves as director of community engagement at the Dramatists Guild of America and The Lillys. She is the author of Talc: A Haitian Zombie Story; her dramatic work has been presented at the Classical Theatre of Harlem, Dixon Place, the Dramatists Guild of America.

Victoria Alexander

Board Member

Victoria Hagman Alexander founded Realty Collective in Red Hook, Brooklyn, an area rich in history and architecture, in order to help shape Brooklyn's future, while staying connected to its cultural heritage. She is a member of the Columbia Waterfront Neighborhood Association, Cobble Hill Neighborhood Association and the Community Advisory Group to Gowanus Superfund.

Josh Liberson is a creative executive and the founder of Origami Advisory.

Kyle Luker is a talent manager with Industry Entertainment.

Shari Soofian

Board Member

Shari Soofian is a senior executive at Meetup, with experience delivering transformation and growth at iconic media and entertainment brands, including Time, Inc., The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times. She loves musicals and is passionately involved in helping develop new theatre.

Brooke Williams

Board Member

Brooke Williams is a mother, activist, blogger and musician living and working in Brooklyn, NY. She is a writer and photographer, a national organizer of the 2017 Women’s March and a member of the Resistance Revival Chorus. She writes and records under the name The New Black and has recorded and performed with bands including The Silver Apples and Beastie Boys. thisisauthentic.com

Michael Alifanz

Producing Ambassador

Michael Alifanz is the technical director and production manager for the LaGuardia Community College theater program. After receiving his MFA from Columbia University, he worked as a stage manager with The Public, Manhattan Theatre Club, INTAR, and The Atlantic Theater Company. He has been a producer for The 24 Hour Plays and Musicals (on and off Broadway and in Los Angeles) and the producing ambassador for The 24 Hour Plays: Minneapolis.

Patti Anne Miller

Producing Ambassador

Patti Anne Miller is a producer and fundraiser, currently located in Los Angeles, CA. She most recently worked as the Director of Development for The Playwrights Realm; other affiliations include: Portland Stage Company, Ars Nova, 59E59 Theaters, Williamstown Theatre Festival and The Public Theatre. She has been a producer for The 24 Hour Plays (on and off Broadway) and the managing producer for The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals.

Kelcie Beene

Kelcie Beene is the production manager for STAGE Lab at the University of Chicago’s Institute for Molecular Engineering. She has produced site-specific events, theater and concerts for Global Citizen, The BEAT Festival, The Amoralists, The Old Vic New Voices. Next Wave, The Play Company, LifeLike Touring and GLAMOUR. She has been a producer for The 24 Hour Plays (on and off Broadway), The 24 Hour Musicals and the producing ambassador for The 24 Hour Plays Dublin, Mexico, Germany, London, Bay Area and Bennington events.

Hope Chavez

Hope Chavez is a creative producer, arts administrator, and activist in New York City. She is the Programs Manager at A.R.T./New York and
the Managing Producer for Keen Teens, an educational initiative which serves high school students across the five boroughs of New York City. She has been a producer for The 24 Hour Plays (on and off Broadway), The 24 Hour Musicals and the managing producer for The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals.

Kurt Gardner*

Kurt Gardner is a theatrical stagehand and production supervisor. He is a founding member of The 24 Hour Company and has been a producer for The 24 Hour Plays (on and off-Broadway and in Los Angeles) and a producing ambassador for The 24 Hour Plays in London, Toronto, Montreal and Kansas.

Alyssa May Gold

Producing Ambassador

Alyssa May Gold is the founder of Pocket Universe, a theater and film company dedicated to reconsidering and reimagining classic stories and conventions. Other work as a producer: New Light Theater Project, BEDLAM and “You Made It Worse” (which she also wrote and directed). Theater credits as an actress: Arcadia on Broadway: Julius Caesar, The Maid's Tragedy, Juliet+Romeo (Pocket Universe), Middle of the Night and Lemon Sky (Keen Company). Film/TV: Rebel in the Rye, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, Taking Woodstock. She has been a producer for The 24 Hour Musicals on Broadway and The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals.

Lou Moreno

Producing Ambassador

Lou Moreno is the artistic director of INTAR, which is one of the country's longest-running theaters producing Latino voices in English and nurturing the professional development of Latino theater artists. He has been a producer for The 24 Hour Plays (on and off Broadway), The 24 Hour Musicals and the producing ambassador for The 24 Hour Plays: Mexico.

Philip Naudé

Producing Ambassador

Philip Naudé is a theater producer, production manager and educator based in New York City. Currently he is the lead instructor at the Brooklyn Academy of Music for the BAM Fellowship in Stagecraft and Production, an adjunct professor at City College and the New School, and has taught technical theater and design at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. She has been a producer for The 24 Hour Plays (on and off Broadway), The 24 Hour Musicals and the producing ambassador for The 24 Hour Plays in London, Dublin, Bonn, Toronto, Athens and Finland.

Amy Richards

Amy Richards is the events and networking coordinator for the University of Colorado-Boulder. Previously, she was the production manager for the French Institute Alliance Francaise. She has been a producer for The 24 Hour Plays (on and off Broadway), The 24 Hour Musicals and the producing ambassador for The 24 Hour Musicals in Denmark.

Sarah Storm

Producing Ambassador

Sarah Storm is a multi-modal storyteller, coach, and creative professional who pairs her extensive experience in the performing arts with expertise in the growing VoiceFirst computing sector. Her acting work appears in Law & Order: SVU and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, while her voice directing work can be heard in Mr. Robot: Daily Five/Nine. She has been a producer for The 24 Hour Plays and Musicals (on and off-Broadway and in Los Angeles) and producing ambassador for The 24 Hour Plays in London.

Laura Vogel

Producing Ambassador

Laura Vogel is a digital media producer who creates web content for individuals and productions. She owns Winged Pup Productions, and has numerous clients in New York and Los Angeles. She has been a producer for The 24 Hour Plays and Musicals (on and off Broadway and in Los Angeles) and the producing ambassador for The 24 Hour Plays: Bennington.
