Writers include Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire (Rabbit Hole); Hansol Jung (Cardboard Piano); playwright and television producer Warren Leight (Law and Order: SVU); playwright and screenwriter Christopher Oscar Peña (Jane the Virgin); playwrightJonathan Marc Sherman (Knickerbocker); and Drama Desk Award-winning playwright Bess Wohl (Small Mouth Sounds).
Directors include Carolyn Cantor, Dick Scanlan, Lee Sunday Evans, Elena Araoz, Mark Brokaw and Patricia McGregor.
New York-based singer, songwriter, and playwright Ethan Lipton and his Orchestra will be the musical guests for the evening.
The 16th annual The 24 Hour Plays on Broadway will honor Leigh Silverman with the Artistic Inspiration award, which celebrates a working artist whose work has inspired The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals community of young artists, who will present her with the award at the event, along with remarks from Lisa Kron (Fun Home) and Jayne Houdyshell (Well).
Proceeds benefit The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals—an intensive professional experience for young actors, directors, playwrights and producers.
